Full list of results and goal scorers in the FIFA World Cup at Qatar 2022, the 21st edition of the most prestigious soccer tournament on the planet, which takes place from 21 November to 18 December. The 32 participating teams were divided into 8 groups (A to H) of 4 teams each and played in two stages: in the first stage, they played in 4 groups with round-robin games (home and away). The 2 best teams of each group qualified directly to the next stage, while the other 2 had to play 2 knockout games against teams ranked 5th and 8th in their respective groups.
Qualifying rounds
The Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup will feature 32 teams. The teams are broken up into 8 groups of 4. The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the 16-team knockout phase. The first round matches were all played in October 2018. In Group A, France beat Australia 2–1 while Peru and Denmark drew 1–1. In Group B, Iran beat Morocco 1–0 while Spain and Portugal drew 3–3. In Group C, Argentina beat Croatia 3 to nothing while Iceland and Nigeria drew 0 to nil.
In Round 2 of qualification on November 20th, 2018, we saw Brazil win 1 to nil against Bolivia while Panama beat Honduras 1 to nil as well.
The group stage
The first round of the tournament consisted of 32 teams competing in 8 groups of 4. The top two teams from each group advanced to the second round of 16. After that, it was a knockout competition with no draws allowed. No team could be eliminated until they had played all their games, so one bad result would not mean elimination from the tournament. The knockout stage

Group C saw France score three times without reply from Peru before Neymar rolled home Brazil's second goal five minutes into stoppage time.

The Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd FIFA World Cup tournament to be held. It will take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. The final matches will take place at Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail City, which is being constructed specifically for this event.
